  • Abram Lake is located 5 kilometers south of the town of Sioux Lookout  in the Kenora District of northwestern Ontario
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 50° 02'  Long. 92° 00'
  • Abram Lake is part of the English River/Lac Seul  water system
  • water flows into the lake via the Abrams Chute from Minnitaki Lake and exits via the Frog Rapids into Pelican Lake (both "connectors" are popular walleye spots). The Sturgeon River flows into the lake on the east end
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 120', the average depth is 40'
  • the perimeter is approx. 67 km. (47 miles)
  • the lake offers a variety of fish holding structure and cover including wooded and rocky rubble shorelines, submerged logs and stumps, shoals, sandbars, points and drop offs, island clusters, neck downs and channels
  • major fish species include smallmouth bass, walleye, pike, lake trout, whitefish, perch and a small population of muskie
  • Abram Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 4
