  • Bear Lake is located along Hwy. 518 west of Sprucedale in the Parry Sound District
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 26' 32"  Long. 79° 35' 11"
  • 4 creeks enter the lake on the south and east side of the lake. There is an outlet on the north end flowing into the Seguin River
  • the perimeter of the lake is 14.2 km. (8.8 miles)
  • Bear Lake is relatively shallow with the maximum depths reaching 25'. The average depth is 7.5'
  • there are lots of shallow weedy areas as well as 10 or so islands in these areas that provide good cover for bass and pike. There are some faster breaking drop offs around the lake points which provide good structure for walleye. Check the inflowing creeks for walleye at the season openning
  • major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, walleye and pike
  • Bear Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
