- Benoir Lake is located
north of Harcourt Ontario along
County Road 10 (Elephant Lake Road) in Haliburton County
- co-ordinates: Lat.
45° 11' Long. 78° 09'
- Benoir is part of a
tri-lakes system which also includes
Baptiste and Elephant Lake
- the York River enters the
lake on the north end and exits
the south on its way to Elephant Lake. The lake consists of several
basins connected by short narrows
- maximum depths reach 60'
- the shorelines are
littered with submerged logs and stumps
with lily pad and weed beds in the shallows
- a public boat launch can
be accessed on the north end of
the lake off of County Road 10
- major fish species
include large and smallmouth bass,
walleye, pike, muskie and perch
- Benoir is located within
Fisheries Management Zone 15
