  • Big Mink Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 127  (northwest of Maynooth Ontario) along Mink Lake Road in Hastings County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 15' 19"  Long. 78° 04' 48"
  • Mink Creek enters the lake on the north end and exits via a dam on the south end
  • the lake consists of five basins connected by short narrows
  • much of the shoreline is composed of rock rubble and there are submerged logs as well. Reed patches can be found in the shallows
  • the perimeter of the lake is 18.8 km (11.8 miles)
  • while the lake reaches depths of 78', the average depth is 19'. The deeper basin at the north end is more suitable for lake trout
  • the lake has been regularly stocked with lake trout
  • the major fish species are lake trout and smallmouth bass
  • a public boat launch is located on the north end of the lake off of Mink Lake Road
  • Big Mink Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
