Brandy Lake: Quick Facts
  • Brandy Lake is located east of Port Carling along County Road 25 (Brackenrig Road) in the Muskoka District
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 06' 27" Long. 79° 31' 40"
  • with the exception of a single resort, Brandy is primarily a cottage lake. It is part of the Lake Muskoka watershed
  • the perimeter of the lake is 11.3 km (7 miles)
  • while the lake reaches a maximum depth of 7.5 metres (25'), the average depth is 3.5 metres (11')
  • reeds and weeds can be found in the shallows. Rock outcroppings are visible near the shorelines. White jugs mark underwater obstacles (and fishing spots) throughout the lake
  • a public boat launch is located on the northwest side of the lake off of County Road 25
  • major fish species include small and largemouth bass, pike, walleye, perch and cisco
  • Brandy Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
