  • Calabogie Lake is located beside the town of Calabogie Ontario in Renfrew County

  • Calabogie Lake is part of the Madawaska River system. The river enters the lake on the southwest corner and exits on the northeast side at the village of Calabogie
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 102', the average depth is approx. 21'. There is a large shallow bay (Grassy Bay) on the east side of the lake that favours largemouth bass and pike
  • this single basin lake has a perimeter of 30.6 km (19 miles)
  • there is a sanctuary area near the Madawaska River inflow
  • a public boat launch is located on the south side of the bridge that crosses the Madawaska River at the village of Calabogie
  • the major fish species include walleye, pike, large and smallmouth bass
  • Calabogie Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 15
