  • the perimeter of the lake is 43 km (27 miles)
  • the surface area is771 hectares (1,906 acres)
  • there is a sanctuary area from the dam on Net Lake to an arc extending into Cassels Lake
  • the inlets from Net and Obaskong Lakes are popular early season walleye fishing areas
  • a public boat launch is located along Gillies Road on the west side of the lake. It can also be accessed directly by boat from Snake Island Lake and Rabbit Lake
  • the major fish species include lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass, walleye, whitefish and yellow perch
  • Cassels Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 11
