  • while the lake reaches depths of 230', the average depth is 70'
  • limestone veins run underneath the lake and act as a natural buffer to counter the effects of acid rain (which constitute a threat to lake trout)
  • the major fish species include lake trout, walleye, smallmouth bass, whitefish, cisco, and yellow perch
  • Chiblow Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 10
