  • the lake is moderately fertile in nutrient content and favours a warm water fishery
  • there is a spring sanctuary area on a portion of the Tay River and lake
  • the major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegill and black crappie
  • Christie Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 18
