  • Crane Lake  can be reached by following the Blackstone/Crane Lake Road west of Hwy. 400. The cut off is about 20 km. south of Parry Sound
  • co-ordinates: Lat 45° 12' 47"  Long. 79° 55' 42"
  • the Blackstone River flows into the lake from Blackstone Lake and exits Crane Lake via a dam on the southwest side eventually reaching Georgian Bay
  • while the lake has a maximum depth of 105', the average depth is 30'
  • the perimeter of the lake is approx. 50 km. (31 miles)
  • the lake has an irregular shoreline with many bays and back bays - some of which are quite weedy. Rock rubble shorelines, points, shoals and narrows provide good fish holding structure
  • Crane Lake has been regularly stocked with lake trout
  • the lake holds both muskie and pike with the latter predominating
  • major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, muskie, pike, lake trout, walleye and perch
  • Crane Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 15
