  • Eugenia Lake is located north of Flesherton Ontario at the top of the Beaver Valley escarpment in Grey County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 19' 36"  Long. 80° 29' 53"
  • Eugenia Lake was created in 1915 as a reservoir for generating hydro electricity
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 40', the average depth is 4.6'
  • the perimeter of the lake is 23.8 km (14.9 miles)
  • the surface area is 723 hectares (1,787 acres)
  • the lake is regularily stocked with rainbow trout creating a put and take fishery. The best time to fish for these rainbows is in the spring near the dam or during the ice fishing season
  • submerged logs and stumps, extensive cabbage weed, reed and lily pad beds provide excellent cover for bass
  • the public boat launch is located on the southwest side of the lake off of Canrobert St.
  • the major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, rainbow trout,and yellow perch
  • Eugenia Lake is located in Fisheries Management Zone 16
