Gullrock Lake: Fast Facts
  • Gullrock Lake is located along Hwy. 105 south of the town of Red Lake in the Kenora District
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 50° 58' 29"  Long. 93° 37' 01"
  • Gullrock is part of a chain of lakes which also include Red, Keg, Ranger and Two Island Lake.
  • the lake is fed by three major rivers: Ranger, Bug and the Chukuni. The areas around these inflows  are pike and walleye magnets  when the season opens
  • while much of the lake bottom has a sand/mud base, there are also a number of shoals, reefs and islands that dot the lake and are home to a healthy population of walleye
  • water levels are controlled by a dam below Two Islands Lake
  • the major fish species include walleye, northern pike and whitefish
  • Gullrock Lake is located within Fisheries Management Zone 4
