Lake is located west of Norland
Ontario along County Rd. 45 in the City of Kawartha Lakes
- if you are unfamiliar (or familiar) with this
lake beware of the numerous rock piles
near the surface especially under low water conditions
lake consists of a single basin
with many fish holding underwater humps and shoals. The deeper east
side of the lake has a number of points, islands and bays. Weedbeds can
be found in the shallows and at the river mouth.
Head River flows into the lake on
the northeast side and exits on the northwest
the lake reaches maximum depths
of 24' (7metres), the average depth is 14' (4 metres)
fish species include large and
smallmouth bass, walleye, muskie and yellow perch
are two public boat launches on
Lake is situated within
Fisheries Management Zone 17
