  • Kabenung Lake is located on the west side of Hwy. 17, 43 km south of the town of White River and 46 km north of Wawa Ontario in the District of Algoma
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 48° 16' 54"  Long. 84° 58' 49"
  • the lake consists of 2 basins (the western one is known as West Kabenung lake)
  • a number of creeks flow into the lake including 2 on the east side that are sanctuary areas in the spring
  • the lake has a perimeter of 69 km (43 miles)
  • while the lake reaches depths of 70', the average depth is 21'
  • the lake contains many islands, bays, narrows, points, shoals, channels, current areas and weed beds - all of which provide great structure and cover for walleye and pike
  • a public boat launch is located on the east side of the lake just off of Hwy. 17
  • the major fish species include northern pike, walleye and yellow perch
  • Kabenung Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 7
