- Lady Evelyn Lake is
located approx. 40 km northwest
of the town of Temagami in the District of Timiskaming

- Lady Evelyn Lake was
created as a result of the damming of
the Montreal River
- the overall perimeter of
the lake is 204 km (127 miles)
- the surface area of the
lake is 6,263 hectares (15,476
- the lake consists of two
distinct sections connected by the
- the southwest basin is
quite distinct from the northeast basin in that its depths reach 97'
and it is quite rugged - much more typical of other lakes found in the
Temagami area. While there are a few sandy areas, rockier terrain
predominates. Drop offs to deep water are quick. The points, narrows,
shoals and islands are favourite walleye and smallmouth bass areas.
Aside from shallow bays (early in the season) try the deeper
waters in the summer and shoal areas in the fall for larger pike.
