  • Lake Nosbonsing is located east of Lake Nipissing in the East Ferris and Bonfield Townships of the District of Nipissing. The town of Astorville is on one end of the lake and Bonfield is on the other

  • the Kaibuskong River exits this spring fed lake near Bonfield on the east end of the lake
  • the lake is approx. 11 km. long and 4 km. wide
  • while maximum depths reach 46', the average depth is 16'
  • the perimeter of the lake is 48 km. (30 miles)
  • there are a number of productive weed beds in the lake as well as rock rubble and sand shorelines, points, shoals, islands, drop offs and narrows
  • the major fish species include muskie, pike walleye, large and smallmouth bass, yellow perch and bluegill
  • Lake Nosbonsing is situated within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 11
