  • Mazinaw Lake is located adjacent to Hwy. 41 north of the town of Cloyne Ontario in Frontenac County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 56' 00"  Long. 77° 12' 11"
  • Mazinaw is one of the deepest lakes in Ontario reaching depths of 476'. The average depth is approx. 135'
  • the lake consists of two basins connected by a short narrows. Water exits the lake via a dam on the south end flowing into Marble Lake
  • the perimeter of the lake is 49 km (30.5 miles)
  • the surface area is 1,591 hectarea (3,930 acres)
  • a large portion of the lake is situated within the boundaries of Bon Echo Provincial Park
  • one of the most noticeable features of the area is the huge Mazinaw Rock which is located on the eastern shore of the northern basin
  • there are a couple of public boat launch sites. One is inside the provincial park. The other is along North Mazinaw Heights Road on the west side of  the northern basin
  • while the lake has been stocked in the past, it has a naturally reproducing population of lake trout
  • the major fish species include small and large mouth bass, walleye, northern pike, lake trout and white fish
  • Mazinaw Lake is situated with Fisheries Management Zone 18
