North Muldrew Lake: Fast Facts
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 54' 10"  Long. 79° 26' 14"
  • North Muldrew Lake is located just west of Gravenhurst Ontario along Hwy 169 in the Muskoka District
  • the lake is long and narrow and is connected to South Muldrew Lake via a short channel on the northwest end
  • it is part of the Severn River drainage system
  • the lake reaches maximum depths of 54' (16.5 metres). The average depth is 23' (7 metres)
  • the lake possesses a variety of structure  including  shoals, rocky shorelines, drop offs, islands etc. that provide good habitat for smallmouth bass
  • the shallower bays and creek inflows - especially where there is some weed growth -  favour largemouth bass and pike
  • walleye were stocked in the 1980's  but the population is not that strong
  • North Muldrew Lake is situated in Fisheries Management Zone 15
