  • Pakwash Lake is located along Hwy. 105 between Red Lake to the north and Ear Falls to the south in northwestern Ontario

  • the lake is adjacent to Pakwash Provincial Park
  • the Trout Lake River and Chukuni River enter the lake on the north end and the Chukuni River exits on the south end
  • the lake has a number of islands, submerged humps and shoals. There are protected bays many of which have thick weed beds especially on the north end of the lake. Shoreline rubble, points and drop offs add to the variety of structure the lake offers
  • the lake has a well earned reputation for walleye and big pike
  • major fish species include walleye, pike, whitefish, perch, smallmouth bass and a small population of muskie
  • Pakwash Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 4
