  • Patterson Lake is located west of the town of Lanark in Lanark County
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 45° 00'  Long. 76° 32'
  • this naturally spring fed headwater lake sits on the edge of the Canadian Shield. The water is quite clear. Water exits the lake on the east side at Fairs Creek
  • the lake is moderately fertile (mesotrophic) and sustains a warm water fishery
  • while the lake reaches maximum depths of 52', the average depth is 13'
  • the perimeter of the lake is 11.2 km (7 miles)
  • the surface area is 149 hectares (368 acres)
  • smallmouth bass can be found around and over the shoals, points and rubble shorelines. Largemouth bass and pike predominate in the shallow areas of the lake especially the east end. Try for walleye by trolling the the shorelines in 10'-20' of water . The waters near the mid lake shoals are also worth a try
  • Patterson Lake is located in Fisheries Management Zone 18
