Seymour Lake: Fast Facts
  • co-ordinates: Lat. 44° 23' 05"  Long. 77° 48' 35"
  • Seymour Lake is located south of Havelock at the village of Trent River Ontario in Northumberland County
  • the lake is a widening of the Trent Severn Waterway. The navigation channel areas reach up to 30'+ deep. The average depth is around 7'.  Most of the lake is quite shallow  with submerged logs and stumps, lily pad beds, weed beds and cat tail banks everywhere - perfect locations for largemouth bass
  • the deeper weed beds along the channel as well as rocky points are home to walleye, muskie and bass
  • a well maintained public boat launch is located at Monument Park in the village of Trent River
  • major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, walleye, muskie, black crappie, bluegill, perch, catfish and carp
  • Seymour Lake is situated within Fisheries Management Zone 17
