  • Sharbot Lake (West) is located on the west side of Hwy. 38 just south of the town of Sharbot Lake in Frontenac County

  • Sharbot Lake (West) connects to the eastern section of the lake via a navigable channel
  • the lake has a naturally reproducing population of lake trout which are found primarily in the western section of the lake. The walleye numbers also appear to be better in the west section
  • Sharbot Lake Provincial Park sits on the north shore of the lake
  • there are two public boat launches. One is located  within the boundaries of the provincial park. The other is located on the northwest side of the narrows along Hwy. 38 at Oso Township Park
  • while the lake reaches depths of 102', the average depth is 26.5'
  • the perimeter of this section of the lake is 22.4 km (14 miles)
  • the surface area is 706 hectares (1,745 acres)
  • the major fish species include large and smallmouth bass, pike, walleye, lake trout, bluegill, perch and cisco
