  • the perimeter is 6.4 km (4 miles)
  • the lake is quite shallow and has weed bed areas
  • maximum depths only reach just over 11'. The average depth is only 6'. The lake has rock shoal areas along the shoreline and points
  • a public boat launch is located on the south end of the lake at the end on Whalley Lake Road
  • major fish species include large and smallmouth bass and black crappie
  • Whalley Lake is situated within the boundaries of Fisheries Management Zone 15
